Osteopathy

Osteopathy is the system of diagnosis and treatment which puts the main emphasis on the structural and mechanical problems of the body.

Osteopaths treat with their hands, using a wide range of techniques - massage type techniques to relax muscles, articulation or passive repetitive joint movements to improve the quality or range of movement of a joint, and high velocity thrust techniques which restore the mobility and function of a joint.

Concentrating on common back-ache problems, but also including relief of sports injuries, head and joint pain, and postural stress. In fact, osteopathy can treat problems from trauma in birth, to arthritis in old age.
